Amazing Grace: The Life of John Newton

The event has ended.

Amazing Grace, How Sweet the Sound is a hymn that has been sung by multitudes for more than 200 years. John Newton, the songwriter, truly understood the meaning of the words that he wrote.

Throughout history God has saved people whom one might consider hopeless. John Newton, consumed by wickedness that made him infamous, was involved in slave trafficking and had no scruples about profiting from others’ misery. When God opened John’s eyes to his own spiritual bondage, he experienced the wonder of God’s amazing grace.

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” –2 Corinthians 12:9a

Come join us as we consider the life of John Newton and the amazing grace that alone saves.
